Absolutely dating is a numbers game, just like Sales (as a profession is) and many other endeavors. I used to take it personally, but then I began to realize some of the women I felt I was "doing them a favor" by even talking to them were flat out not interested...this is because of any number of reasons, not necessarily my looks or personality or the way I approached them....BOTTOM LINE IMPROVE YOUR NUMBERS AND IMPROVE YOUR ODDS.....more at

This is one of the biggst fallacies in dating these days. It's sad that it starts up front. If you're going to only give someone an hour or two of time, it puts pressure on both people. All of a sudden, something that you have no control over either has to "be there" or not. And chemistry isn't something that is absolute. Even in a long relationship, you don't always have chemistry together - a bad day at work, illness, that "time of the month" can all have an effect on how you're feeling and how "into" romance you are. I think it's more important in dating to get to know people, and when you do get to the point of meeting someone, plan on giving them a few dates/meetings to get to know them and break the ice. It's a bigger problem that we are all holding out for some "instant chemistry" that really doesn't have any substance to making a relationhip last. Sure, you have to have chemistry with someone. But there are a litany of things that are far more important in terms of being able to make a relationship last.
