Amateurmatch.com: Good Website, Bad Web Design!

July 7th, 2010  Posted by admin

I tried out Amateurmatch.com a couple of weeks ago, based on the suggestion of one of my fans.  I was actually not impressed by the initial landing page of this site – its very simple – just asking for my basic info so that it can send me a confirmation link by email. But after I gave them my info – I was pretty surprised by the depth and quality of the site. For what it lacks in numbers – other sites certainly have more active members – it makes up for in quality of user experience.

There weren’t so many people in my local area – I’d say around 40 men – but that means that it’s that much more cozy – and people can become familiar with each other faster.  I happened to meet a pretty decent guy who I added into my rotation of men. He was ehhh…. a bit younger than me (by 4 years), but I couldn’t complain.  Most of the guys on amateurmatch.com, at least in my area – were about 24-30 years old… but I normally prefer men who are 30-45. This was one of the only problems I experienced on the site.

There is a free option on amatuermatch.com where you can send a certain number of emails before you have to become a paid member. This is a pretty unusual feature, as they normally require you to pay something before you start contacting members. Due to this feature – I highly recommend it to guy who are new to online dating – or just want to try it out for free.  The initial amateurmatch.com account is free – so you have nothing to lose except a little bit of time.  So, head on over and create a free account! Why not??

The Walker System Online Dating Instructions

July 7th, 2010  Posted by admin

This was another item forwarded to me by a fan (thanks Doug!!).  Apparently there is this guy who calls himself Walker (cool name) who purports to be an expert at online dating, and wants to teach guys how to get laid by women they meet online. I watched his 5 minute intro video and everything he said makes sense. He wrote a blueprint of exactly what to do, and what to say to create attraction online.  I gave my email address to him, and he has now sent me the “Walker System” by email. Here’s what I think of it:

  1. His tips to total profile manipulation are DEAD SPOT ON! It’s actually pretty scary that there is a guy out there teaching men exactly how to manipulate women, just by making a few simple tweaks to their online profiles.  One technique he suggests, which I admit would work on me – is to treat the profile as a joke – suggesting to women that you don’t need their approval.  In his system, he talks about his most successful online dating profile he ever created – which for activities he enjoys says only, “eating glass, jumping up and down, and surgery”.
  2. He suggests techniques for online chatting which I also think are pretty effective. It’s so sad that women are so easily manipulated – and one day I hope women will become smarter about these techniques –but now – sadly – women have no chance against Walker’s methods.  He reports that he just leaves online chats at certain strategic moments (as in leaves the computer), and doesn’t return for 10 minutes, 1 hour, or sometimes even 36 hours.  Knowing at which time one should abandon an online chat, and for how long is pretty powerful information. I know it sounds strange, but I agree with him that leaving the online chat at a strategic moment can create amazing attraction.

There are a lot of other things he discusses in his system that I feel are valuable to both beginners and experienced guys. The best part of it is that he is giving it away for free, this month only. His idea is to create a huge buzz for the Walker System online, and then sell it for $97. So at this time, it’s still free. Read it and learn, guys! Find it at www.thewalkersystem.com.

Perfectmatch.com: Finding Your Perfect Match – Simplified!

July 7th, 2010  Posted by admin

I’m not ONLY on adult dating sites – I also enjoy meeting regular men who aren’t total perverts. One of the better sites out there which is for meeting people to have a real relationship – is perfectmatch.com.  This site has a psychologist working for it who designed the initial questionnaire you fill out – to maximize the chances of finding someone you are actually interested in.  The joining process takes just a few minutes – and the best part is that a basic account is totally FREE. If you don’t have an account there already, and you are even a little serious about meeting someone for a serious relationship – why not sign up? You have nothing to lose.

I don’t have a juicy story to share about a guy I met from this site. I used it about a year ago and met a guy who I became pretty good friends with – but nothing romantic. Maybe a slut like me should stick to adult dating sites?! So instead of telling you another juicy story – I’ll tell you about what makes this site so interesting to me.

Most online dating websites are just platforms which leave the members to fend for themselves.  But as I said earlier, Perfectmatch.com is run by Dr. Petter Schwartz -a psychologist who is a relationship expert. An important part of the website is the forum section, where Dr. Schwartz actively participates, helping members with all of their dating related questions. A lot of the people on that site are new to online dating, so they have questions that I thought were pretty stupid and I gotta think Dr. Schwartz did too – but she answered them seriously, and in a dignified way. Since the basic account has a lot of functionality on that site, and is totally FREE – I recommend it to a lot of my single friends. If you don’t meet someone important there – you’ve lost nothing other than 10 minutes setting up a profile. You probably spent longer than that today on the toilet!! So… go sign up for a free account!

Debbie’s Lavalife.com Review

July 26th, 2010  Posted by admin

So as you guys all know, I’ve signed up for a lot of online dating websites in these last 10 years. I’ve poked around on more than 100 dating websites, but lavalife.com remains among my favorite. I’m writing this lavalife.com review for all those people who have viewed the website, but can’t decide if they should sign up and fork over the $30, or move on to another site.

The first thing I’ll mention in my lavalife.com review is the initial appearance of the site. The design is pretty good and it asks for only a small bit of information to get started. After entering your basic info, it sends you a link to create a profile about yourself. The thing that I loved about the site is that it requires you to take a short quiz about your personality and lifestyle so that it can suggest your best possible matches. While it is annoying to fill out at first, it’s definitely worth it because it helps to sort out the trash from the treasures! Most of the trash won’t dedicate the 10 minutes it takes to fill out the questionnaire, so by taking the time to do it – you will be enabled to meet only other people who did so.

Ok, the other important thing to mention here in my lavalife.com review is that the quality of the people I met on the site, as compared to people I met on other sites, tended to be a little bit higher. I checked out both the men’s and women’s profiles, and what I found was a high percentage of college graduates, and a lot of people with a masters degree as well. Not a bad quality in a potential mate.

The last part of my lavalife.com review is the price of the site. The price of lavalife.com is pretty normal for online dating websites – about $25-$30 a month, with a discount offered for longer term signups. As far as I’m concerned $25 is the cost of a couple of Starbucks coffees and you’d might as well put it towards meeting that special someone. Go to lavalife.com and check it out for yourself!

Friendsreuniteddating.co.uk – My Top Uk Dating Website Pick

July 26th, 2010  Posted by admin

Friends Reunited Dating became a huge hit all over the world – particularly with millions of British school leavers eager to link up with ex-school buddies, so the next logical step was to introduce friends reunited dating. But unlike Friends Reunited, friendsreuniteddating enables you to meet with the love of your life, not the clown of your classroom days. Extensive research showed that Friends Reunited is one of the most trusted names on the web, and get this – 50% of the entire internet population are members of the original site. That is a very strong claim to fame.

Friends Reunited Dating is quick and easy to join, and you can join for FREE! Of course, like all sites, you don’t get to do any dating for free, but you can at least search for dates for as long as the mood takes and your privacy is protected. If you see someone you like the look of, friendsreuniteddating is also relatively cheap to join too and you can opt for a one month trial for just £18 – or approximately US$27. That’s less than a dollar a day. If you’re not willing to fork out that much, you’re probably not seriously looking for a date.

I was asked to review this site because I have become something of an authority on the subject. I found that you can get a fast uptake of genuinely interested men and women on this site, but if you are hoping to hook the American love of your life, be warned this is probably not the dating site for you, because this is a site more popular with Brits. If on the other hand, you’re in love with the British accent and it’s always been your dream to snare a member of the landed gentry – this could well be the place to start looking.
If I have a small criticism of friendsreuniteddating , it would be better to focus purely on dating rather than also featuring their other sites such as Friends Reunited and Genes Reunited – which is a site that specializes in searching for ancestors.
Friendsreuniteddating has many of the features that go to make up a cool user friendly dating site – you can easily add good potential to your photo hotlist, and just as importantly, you can find out who likes you by clicking on the aptly named link ‘Who Likes Me’. You can even add an audio voice profile if you think it will sell yourself better. Or if you want to take your chances with an online chat, just click ‘Who’s Online’. I recommend friendsreuniteddating because there’s no irritating guesswork about navigating this site which really helps you to focus on the important stuff like finding your dream date.

Friends Reunited Dating – My Top UK Dating Choice!

July 26th, 2010  Posted by admin

That’s what Friends Reunited Dating proudly proclaim, and given the fact that in the past ten years their parent site Friends Reunited has reunited millions of school friends the world over, you couldn’t argue against them creating the best dating site. In fact between the years 2004 and ’05, Friends Reunited Dating was the fastest growing dating website of them all.
Internet dating has radically transformed the way we meet people, the stigma of such dating has rapidly receded and it’s particularly popular with guys and girls looking for love the second time around. Friends Reunited Dating caters to this massive market perfectly, because the site is pitched at the 30+ customer who wants to meet a suitable mate with a certain level of maturity and worldly experience.
One thing to note about Friends Reunited Dating, is the suffix – it’s ‘.co.uk’ not ‘com.’ This indicates that it is a British site, and it definitely caters mainly to a British audience. If you’re an American and you’re into wet weather, green wellingtons, cups of tea, and quaint cottages, this is a dream site for you. You will also no doubt meet lots of Brits who have always dreamed of a life on the Florida coast or the vast plains of the Texas panhandle, but be prepared to meet mainly British or antipodean partners of all ethnic origins, if you are looking for all American, this is not the site for you.

Perhaps what goes towards the best dating site experience claim is that Friends Reunited Dating have more experience than most when it comes to clear and easy navigation, because they made a lot of the rules with their parent site Friends Reunited.
There’s nothing like experience in creating a site that gives you what you want – lots of easy to view profiles, a hotlist of favourite candidates you can select, the ability to find out who’s’been looking at you, and instant chat availability too. They also know that there’s nothing like a rip off subscriber fee to scare people away, so you can trial Friends Reunited Dating for FREE, viewing potential partners as much as you want, and then signing up for a month’s trial at just £18 or $27 – which is really a very small price to pay for a potentially exciting new love life. That’s possibly why they have thousands of new members signing up each day.
If there is one criticism, it’s that the other sites they manage are shoehorned onto the dating site in the form of links, where as I prefer a site to be purely about dating.
Overall I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up, even though as an American, I’m not likely to be tempted over to ‘cool Britannia’ anytime soon.

Can money buy you love? On Lavalife.com it can!

July 27th, 2010  Posted by admin

I recently signed up on Lavalife to see what if offers and here’s my Lavalife.com review to help you decide whether it’s a dating site you should check out.
First impression is a good impression, because there is not a lot of confusing and irritating form filling to bother with. I don’t like sites that ask you for huge amounts of information before you even discover whether or not you want to sign up for real. My Lavalife.com review discovered that the initial sign up is pretty quick and easy, and you can take a 7-day all access free trial to test drive the site.
In the next part of my Lavalife.com review, I sat down to take their pretty in depth personality and lifestyle quiz. This can take a full ten minutes to do, and you have to stop and think about some of the questions, so you do have to be kind of on a mission to find a partner. If it all seems too much like hard work at this stage and you don’t put the effort in to create meaningful answers, you will get less matches.
In writing my lavalife.com review I discovered that the company has been into online dating since 1997, which is way earlier than many of the seemingly more established dating sites like Match.com. I wondered if this would mean that lavalife.com attracts a more knowledgeable type of customer, and judging by some of the profiles I checked out, that could be true. Generally speaking, a lot of guys and girls on the site have degrees – some of them masters degrees, so if you believe that education does command a better salary and therefore a better lifestyle, then for that reason alone Lavalife could be worth checking out.

For the final part of my lavalife.com review I checked out some of the success stories. How samey some of these sound if you check out a lot of dating sites as I do, but I liked the story about ‘money can buy you love’ – one guy gave his brother the price of a subscription to Lavalife – around $25 to $30 per month – which is about average – he met the girl of his dreams and married her within 18 months. Proof that dating sites are starting to replace the traditional matchmaker in society. Check out lavalife for yourself at lavalife.com.

Lavalife: One of my top 5 favourite dating websites

July 27th, 2010  Posted by admin

I check out a lot of dating sites, in fact I have signed up for hundreds in the past ten years, and then I review them so that you can decide whether to try it or trash it.
The latest one I have been checking out lately is Lavalife, and I have to say I was generally pretty impressed. It’s easy to sign up and you get a 7 day free trial with an access to everything the site has to offer, so you can get a pretty good idea if it’s going to work for your before having to shell out any dough. Even though you may not have heard of Lavalife, they have been around since 1997 so I guess you could say they are established.

When you first land on Lavalife you’re not put off by too much information and too many questions. Once you have completed the basic information you get a link to create your own profile. Now creating a profile about yourself from a blank page can be tough, so what I like about Lavalife is that it helps to probe your personality with a quiz about your preferences and lifestyle. I have to be honest and say that the quiz took up to around ten minutes of my time, which many will find tedious, but if you think about it, this information is going to help you decide who you are and what kind of person you are looking for.
Having got through my Lavalife personality quiz, I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality of the people I met on Lavalife. I always make a point in my reviews to check out profiles of both sexes, and in my checks I was seeing a lot of university degrees, some of them Masters, so Lavalife is obviously attracting its fair share of brainiacs.
Finally I looked at the price, and at $25 -$30 per month, it’s consistent with most sites, and there’s a discount offered if you sign up for longer. If you think about it, you’re probably spending more on your i-phone each month, and yet for the same money you could potentially find true love.

My Top 3 Online Dating Services: Reviewed

July 29th, 2010  Posted by admin

As most of you already know, I’ve signed up on more than 100 online dating services over the past 10 years. So I think its fair to say, I’m somewhat of an expert on the subject. No, I didn’t sign up on all those sites to meet men! Some of them I did meet people on, and others, I was asked to review for a number of magazines and newspapers. From those 10 years of experiences, there are 3 online dating services that really stick out from the rest for their ease of use, quality of singles, and design.

1. Chemistry.com – The first of my top 3 online dating services picks is chemistry.com. The website was all put together by a well known relationship expert and psychologist who has devoted her life to researching how to bring people together to have successful relationships. The site forces users to take a short 5-10 minute quiz about themselves, which I found helps to separate out the junky people. If someone isn’t willing to spend a few minutes filling out the quiz – they probably aren’t serious about finding a date. The website has obviously been designed by an expert team of web designers which makes using it a breeze. Priced at only about $25 a month – it makes giving love a shot pretty easy and inexpensive.

2. Friendfinder.com – The second pick of my favorite online dating services is friendfinder.com. This is a site everyone has heard of, and the benefit is that a ton of people are signed up for it – even in small and medium sized cities. Most online dating services don’t have people in smaller areas, but this site has people in virtually every town in the entire US and Canada! The thing I really like about the site is that some people are only looking for friends – so it removes a lot of the pressure from finding “love” online. The casual atmosphere and low price put this site solidly as my second pick.

3. Perfectmatch.com – My third and final pick of my favorite online dating services is perfectmatch.com. This site, like chemistry.com requires you to take a quiz designed by a psychologist, so that you don’t waste your time being matched with incompatible people. The education level of people on the site is a lot higher than I found on other sites, with an unusual number of people having college educations and even masters degrees! Plus, I don’t know if I was just lucky or not, but in my city, the people were also unusually good looking. Taking the quiz is an easy first step and it shows you your matches for free. So if you like what you see, you can sign up. If not, don’t bother with it, but I’m pretty sure you’ll see something you like.

So, if online dating services are what you are looking for – stop reading this and go sign up. Your partner is waiting!

3 Tips For Successful Online Dating Profiles

July 24th, 2010  Posted by admin

The writing of your profile will be one of the most important things you ever do when it comes to online dating.  The profile must show your prospective partner that you are interesting, fun, yet slightly unattainable. Here are my top 3 tips for attracting attention in your profile:

You need to use photos of yourself that show you actually DOING something. You can’t just be staring at the camera, and if you are a man, you need to keep your shirt on! Photos of you riding a bike, laughing, talking to someone else – these are all appropriate for a profile. A glamour shot from the local mall – is not.

Don’t  say cliché things. This is easier said than done, that’s for sure. But if you profile says anything like, “ I like a night out on the town, but I also don’t mind curling up at home and watching a movie on a Saturday night”, then you’ve written something cliché.  Change it. Say something surprising, something interesting!

When contacting someone for the first time – keep it short and keep it pithy. If you don’t know what pithy is – go to dictionary.com and find out for yourself.  You need to write a challenging, unique, and SHORT message that will capture someone’s attention and virtually force them to reply.  Something like, “Hey, I see you are a tennis player – I’m terrible – how much do I have to pay for a lesson?”  That’s it. Nothing else. I guarantee people will reply to these types of messages.

So, what are you waiting for? You can’t meet people without signing up somewhere!
